GUIDELINES FOR THE CREATIVE TEACHING AWARD

 

ELIGIBILITY

Teachers from Rockland County Yeshiva/day school elementary and high schools, as well as supplementary, elementary and high schools; grades N-12.

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF MATERIALS

1.      Entries should be typewritten.  LEGIBLE handwritten Hebrew is

acceptable.

2. Entries should be submitted on 81/2 x 11" white, unlined paper. Pages should be numbered and clipped together, not stapled.

3. Typed, handwritten or illustrated materials must be BLACK ink on WHITE paper to facilitate photocopying.

4. Games and /or three-dimensional projects should include a list of the materials needed for preparation of the project.

5. Questions and exercises must be specific so that teachers can use them as intended or adapt them to suit their needs.

6. Keep a copy of the project you submit.

7. Credit must be sited when using previously published materials.

DEADLINES FOR ENTRIES

The deadline for submission is 4 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006.  Notification of awards will be made before June 5, 2006. One award of $500 will be given for creative and original materials -- $400 to the teacher, $100 to the educational institution.  Winner will be asked to teach at the Mini-CAJE Conference in the Fall of 2006.
