The Grinspoon Steinhardt Awards

 

The Grinspoon Steinhardt Awards for Excellence in Jewish Education are designed to recognize, honor and support outstanding Jewish educators in day schools and other Jewish educational settings on the local level, these Awards will be presented to professionals in communities across North America.  Nominees for the Rockland Jewish Educator of the Year Award who are chosen to receive that award will be eligible to be nominated for the Grinspoon Steinhardt Awards.  The Rockland community will be able to nominate two worthy candidates.  Nominees for these awards must demonstrate exceptional achievement in Jewish education, have made a significant impact on students and the community, have a minimum of 3 years experience in the field, teach in grades K-12, teach at least 8 hours per week in Jewish day school or other formal Jewish educational setting.  The award consists of a matching $1,500 for the winner to use for his or her own professional development.
